Philip Brooks is primarily engaged in general maritime law and insurance coverage litigation and arbitration. He principally represents U.S. and foreign companies and insurers in the areas of cargo loss, pollution, hull and machinery, collisions, groundings, sinkings, personal injury, charter party and insurance coverage issues. He has over 25 years of experience litigating and overseeing maritime and transportation casualties and disputes in multiple courts throughout the United States and has represented clients in United States Coast Guard and National Transportation Safety Board hearings. He regularly acts as lead counsel in the investigation, defense and recovery efforts involving major maritime casualties. He also has broad experience in product liability, transportation, commercial litigation and environmental matters in state and federal courts.
